Gymball For Chronic Pain Recovery
Janice
has used the gymball as a means to help people recover
from the deconditioning of chronic pain. She has
found it useful for chronic low back pain, stress incontinence,
generalized weakness due to inactivity, and other conditions.
Gymballs, also called Swiss balls, are large, inflated
balls that are most often used in 55 cm, 65 cm, or 75
cm sizes. They are used to sit on, lie on, lie over,
or press against in order to get resistance to movement
and improve muscle recruitment and strength.
Janice has been teaching gymball classes for several
years. She has noticed improvement in general muscle
strength, balance, bladder control, weight loss, and other
benefits in her past participants.

Janice keeps the classes small, between 6-10 participants
per class, so that she can give each participant the individual
attention they need.
